What does it mean when my dog does this?

for some reason whenever (for example) he,s had his dinner. been out for a walk. or had a treat. he rubs his face on the floor. then lies on his back and kicks his back legs around


ive always considered that when he did this. that he was happy.


i just wanna know if any1 else,s dog does this. that,s all





(p.s. He,s a tricolor cavalier king Charles spaniel. 5 years)

What does it mean when my dog does this?
Awwww little fing. He's thrilled, sounds like he's really happy about life.
Reply:That is so funny! My dog does the same thing. She is a 16 month old Bichonpoo. She has a "beard" her food sticks to her beard. By rubbing her face on the floor she gets her face clean. Satisfied that her belly is full, her face is clean she wiggles all over the place on her back and side, kicking her legs, wagging the little stump tail she has. She is so happy - what more can a dog ask for?
Reply:OH MY !!! my Boxer does this too! i was told it is because there gums and teeth have been scrubbed from the food and there mouth becomes tingly!!! thats why, and also because they are nice and full and comforable and a face rub TOPS it off!!! lol but!! when you have a slobbery dog like mine!! its not pretty on the couch!!! LOL

Reply:Two rottie pit mixes that get that way when they want me to play with them, or they are just thrilled over something, admit it's cute but sometimes three in the morning is not the time to do this, and often when doing this they bark and make other noises, stop stare off into space as if thinking then go right back to it.
Reply:I have two jack russel and they do the same and it so funny !! Think there just happy but one of them makes a wierd noise, your dog must be happy !

It's just a big sign of happy or excitedness!

It's like a Yahoooooo in the dog world! The face rubbing...is like a big napkin rub....they get itchy.

its there way of being happy and playing around, some people say its the way they clean them selves but I think they do it just to be silly!
