What is a good French word for "traffic light", other than "feux tricolors"?

My dictionary gave the above expression, but is there a

shorter one?

What is a good French word for "traffic light", other than "feux tricolors"?
"Feux tricolores" is the most appropriate way, otherwise, we go for the shorter version: les feux.

Feu rouge

Feu vert

Feu orange, are the right way to call them in French.
Reply:In Quebec, the expression "les feux de circulation" is the most commonly used term. That's what the media and politicians use. In the streets, people usually say "les lumières".
Reply:"Feux" is ok, no problem with it
Reply:Traffic light = Feu rouge.

Traffic signal = Signal de la circulation.

Stop light = Arretez la lumiere.
Reply:Fabee is right. Actually, I never use "les feux tricolores".

If you want to give direction, you say: Tu tournes aux feux à droite" (for instance)
Reply:In my part of the world we call them "feu rouge," "red light"
