December 06, 1992 was the day when indias secular and tolerant values were given a state burial by die hard hindu fanatics and terror outfits led by RSS (not Really simple Syndication)Bajrangdal, VHP and the security forces who actively participated in pulling down the historical monument. Question about beagle?
Just curious, I got a beagle about a year ago. She's a tricolor female, my folks got her at a pet store when she was 10 weeks old. Anyway, we were told she had a hernia when she was born, she also has papers.
When she was a puppy she went to the bathroom a lot, she's gotten better but she still goes but not as much as she did as a pup.
We found out from the vet she also had allergies which is common for dogs that live in Nevada(where I am).
We switched the food that we give her as well as the cleaning product we use to mop the floor. It's helped, but one thing though I was reading an article about pet stores getting pups from puppymills. Several of the petstores I've seen and been to get their dogs from USDA approved breeders. My female beagle came from a beagle breeder in Iowa, her papers even have the breeder's phone number.
Would the hernia have something to do with my beagle's bladder problem or what?
she's a healthly and is best friends with my sister's pug.

It's doubtful that the 2 are connected. But if the hernia hasn't closed up on it's own, she needs surgery to close it, as that could be dangerous to her.
As to USDA vs puppymill, it's very easy to be both! A puppymill is not merely a place that is unsanitary, but also a place that has too many dogs to really pay attention to, and common opinion varies as to what that magic number is.

I would get that hernia fixed,though.Oh,and the "papers" mean nothing,any breeder can get "papers" as long as both parents are registered and of the same breed.It does not mean that the dog is healthy or of champion stock.

If the bladder is trapped in the groin , you will see a swelling for sure . Since there 's no sign of a swelling , the hernia could not be contributing to the bladder problem .

Satisfied that her belly is full, her face is clean she wiggles all over the place on her back and side, kicking her legs, wagging the little stump tail she has. She is so happy - what more can a dog ask for?

Can I breed a teacup shih tzu (male) and a female regular sized shih tzu?
lol can u ?? I want to know how big or small will the puppies get and what color those puppies will become? The male is tricolor (black,white,brown), he's a teacup and he weighs 4 pounds. On the other hand, my female is a regular sized and she's just white and weighs 10 pounds.

If you paid less than a couple of thousands of dollars for the larger one, it, too, is just pet quality %26amp; not a quality pure breed.
I suggest that you get both dogs fixed %26amp; consider breeding only when you can afford to get something worthy of breeding.

Is there a way to extract the ink on an unused print cartridge?
my cartridge was destroyed and i wish to extract the ink hoping to use it as a refill. it is still unused, just destroyed because of constant transferring to another printer (friction stuff), --- not my fault... print cartridges are expensive here! help!

I use a simple hyperdermic needle that came with my refill kit
Reply:Yes, you can draw back some of the ink from a 49 cartridge (just like filling, only in reverse)
You'll get mostly air, as you are drawing from a sponge, and the sponge will retain a fair portion of the ink. Draw back from several different points in the sponge to get the most ink.
All in all, a labor-intensive undertaking with not much reward.

Reply:Yes, you can draw back some of the ink from a 49 cartridge (just like filling, only in reverse)
You'll get mostly air, as you are drawing from a sponge, and the sponge will retain a fair portion of the ink. Draw back from several different points in the sponge to get the most ink.
All in all, a labor-intensive undertaking with not much reward.

I am going to get this breed of dog soon. What is the good and bad about this dog you know of? I have read up on the breed, but found some descriptions to be vague. I would like to know of personal expierences with the breed and maybe you could help me pick a name. The dog i have chosen is tricolor white/black/tan. Also, I already have a female westie should i get another female dog, as i prefer females, but do not know, if this is a good combo. I have never owned 2 dogs at the sametime and i am nervous.

Reply:I dont know much about cavs but i currently own 5 dogs so i know a bit about introducing a new dog. Two dogs is easy, if you get another female, make sure they are desexed, introduce them slowly and out of your westies comfort zone eg have someone bring the pup to a park and walk your westie down to meet them, then walk them home together, let them spend some time together at home, then separate them. Dont fuss too much over the pup or your westie will get jealous. Introducing a pup is easy because the established dog will tolerate a pup easier, then they can work out the heirarchy later. The westie will probably always be the dominant dog but if she is a bit of a sook and the cav is a bit bolder it may change. Call her 'Harper' or 'Guinea' because a black-and-tan beer is a harp larger and a guinness and it has a creamy white head on it. I work in a pub. Sorry.

I think I'd get another Westie .. :) Two puppies to care for is a big responsibility so yes I'd feel nervous too.. I have had three dogs but draw the line there. with puppies that made 7 mouths to feed.. that's way too much puppy fun in one house.. lol.. Good thing I have two porches and lots of land to run on.
Reply:as long as both of your females are spayed there will be no problem... as for the cavalier,, they are great little dogs.... i am sure this dog will become your favorite... i certainly hope that you are getting her from a reputable breeder... as for the name,, ask the breeder if there is a theme for the litter ....remember , a responsible, reputable breeder,, will let you visit with pups many times before you actually take one home.. that way you will get to know personalities,, you should also get a health guarantee, you should be able to see the health clearances on BOTH parents.... etc. etc.. good luck and enjoy your new baby

Reply:My neighbor has a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and he is the SWEETEST dog in the world! Shes orange and white. I baby sat him when she was at work, and I was amazed at how quick he learned things. He is VERY playful, I would sometimes have to bring my Pekingnese over because he would tire me out. So it would be a wonderful companion for your Westie! The only bad thing I can think of is it likes to be around people/dogs all the time. I would have to leave the door open when I had to go to the bathroom or he would have a heartattack. But it was cute in a way.
Her dogs name is Mertzie. No idea how she got that name, but it fits and its very cute.
I think you will do fine will 2 dogs. Its very easy. I know you will enjoy this breed.

Question about printer cartridges?
i have an Hp Photsmart printer,, ran out of black ink ,,,, then before replaced it had message about tricolor cartridge,,,,, now have replaced black,,,,,,,, cleaned contact points on tricolor, still getting color message,,,,, that its not installed,, dirty etc,,, any ideas?

No its time to replace both, I've found cleaning the contact head will not help no matter what you do. Replace them and all will be right with the world.

Printer question . . . ink?
Hello! I just bought an HP series Photo ink cartridge. I already have the black and tricolor ink cartiridges, which are already in my printer. My question is, do I put in the photo ink cartridge while the other two cartridges (the black and tricolor) are still in the printer, or should I take one of them out? If so, how do I put in the third photo cartridge or which cartridge should I take out? I'm going to be printing photos. I have a HP photosmart D5100 series printer. Oh yes, and when I bought the photo cartridge it came with an extra "cartridge holder" thing along with it. Please help! Thanks . . . I have no idea what I'm doing! :)

On the carriage (where you slot in the cartridges), there will be a corresponding shape printed there as well. This means that the cartridge with the same shape can be put into that slot.
For your printer, the photo cartridge should take the place of the black cartridge. So for normal printing, you should have the black and color cartridges inside. For special photo printing, you should have the color and the photo cartridges inside. Bit of advice: in future, you dont really need the photo cartridge. The normal cartridges (black and color) work almost as well. For non-professionals, you can hardly tell the difference unless you put the photos side by side.
The extra cartridge holder thing is for you to put the spare cartridge (assuming you remove the black one to put in the photo cartridge). This is because once the cartridges are opened, they tend to dry up. Hence the extra cartridge holder is designed to slow down that process by capping the printhead.

gently take off the empty cartridge and replace it with the new one.

I installed the ink, which is photo ink, in the correct spot (where the black usually goes) and my computer made me leave my empty tricolor ink in its spot. Everytime I try to print a picture, it starts off fine than fades to a bluish tinted color. Why is it doing that? Do I need to have both a photo ink cartridge and a tricolor, even though the photo ink is color? Is there some setting to change? It is a HP 1500 series printer/scanner/copier that also prints photos.

As said above, yes you do need to have both the photo and the color cartridges in there. The photo cartridge does not contain any yellow, which is why your prints aren't coming out right. It has photo black, cyan and magenta, so it needs to get the yellow from the regular color cartridge. No colors can really mix together to make yellow, so pretty much all the lighter colors are going to be missing from your prints. This could explain why they are coming out blue.

Think of the 99 cartrdge as an additional 2 inks (not including black) that works along with the regular tri-color cartridge for 6-ink printing. The result should be photos with better color variations than you would normally get with a 4-ink printing system (tri-color cartridge and black cartridge). So, in a nutshell, the regular tri-color cartridge should have ink in it to use along with the 99 photo cartridge. Hope this helps!

Don't know that specific model but after you select File --%26gt; Print, there should be a dialog window. Look for a drop down menu that will let you select grayscale instead of color.

Has anyone ever seen or heard of a gray beagle?
A while back my tricolor beagle was bred to another tri. She had a litter of six - two regular tricolors, one broken-spotted tricolor, two lemons, and one that was all gray except some brown on his face. I was wondering if this is really rare, and also, what might cause this coloring. I've read a lot about beagle coloring, but the closest I've found is bluetick coloring. Any answers would be appreciated.

It's possible it's simply a non-standard colour (non-hound), which is meaningless for ap et quality dog. Please be sure to supply limited AKC registrations and spay/neuter contracts. With over 6000 beagles up for rescue on http://www.petfinder.com , the last thing the world needs is more pet quality Beagles.

The only colors that would really be considered rare are the "pieds" where the base color is a cream instead of white, and regardless of the color pattern there will not be the clear cut dividing lines between the pattern and the base white.
From the old color standard:
"The colour is spread about amongst the ground colour, without there being a clear definition or dividing line between the base colour and full colour. The edges of the dense colour pattern area fade and run out, mingling with the base colour. It is NOT a clear line as in the other colour groups."

Can I use my HP deskjet 940c printer with only the black print cartridge?
My printer has two cartridges; a tricolor (about $35) and a black (about $30).
I don't use color anyway so I was wondering if my printer would work if I only bought the black cartridge.
I could leave the empty tricolor cartridge in if it needs it to work.
Hate to buy one without the other if it won't work without both (I'll be buying this on-line).....and I really can't afford the tricolor cartridge.

They are energetic but not too much that they try to escape like Siberian Huskies., they are great in cold weather and are extremely easy to house train.
They are great with people but at the same time are very good guard dogs.
They are great pets, very loyal and not much goes wrong with them.
They also aren't too big like St Bernards, westfoundlands or mastiffs, therefore being more active. if you get these dogs [westfoundland, st bernard, mastiff] they can be stubborn and they don't take to too much exercise.

They are energetic but not too much that they try to escape like Siberian Huskies., they are great in cold weather and are extremely easy to house train.
They are great with people but at the same time are very good guard dogs.
They are great pets, very loyal and not much goes wrong with them.
They also aren't too big like St Bernards, westfoundlands or mastiffs, therefore being more active. if you get these dogs [westfoundland, st bernard, mastiff] they can be stubborn and they don't take to too much exercise.

What's so special about HP Photo-Cartridge? I mean it has the same colors as the Tricolor+Black combined!!
The colors are actually different. The Black is the same yes, however, the Magenta and Cyan are different shades. They are actually lighter shades. This gives you 6 color printing, verses 4 color.
Now do you notice a difference, it all depends on how keen your eyesight is. I do not, and most of the people I talk to do not, but there are some that do.
I think it is more of a marketing ploy, and one that is done good.

No, i've tried that, they will fade very badly in a month or two. it will look good but will fade. and yes i know, the photo cartridges are soooo expensive.

What do you think about the new Tricolor?
It looks like the best list el Tri has ever had in years, although I am very worried about why certain players were left out.
I think Marquez's absence is understandable. He had a difficult season last year so Hugo doesn't want to interrupt his rhythm with Barca at the moment, especially since his position has become a lot more competitive.
As for Pardo and Osorio, I'm afraid that their exclusion is a way of punishing them for leaving the team after the Gold Cup.
I think people have been unnecessarily hard on them for leaving but I think they deserved the break; after all they played for two whole years without one--they went from Liga Mexicana to Confederations, to Liga again, to WC 06, to Bundesliga, then to Gold Cup. (However, the Bundesliga does have that nice month-long break around x-mas, so maybe they should have rested up then, but then again, I bet none of us here have ever worked as hard as they have for as long as they have so we would never know.)
I don't think they have been permanently removed from the team, but I do think femexfut and Hugo did intend to send them a message by leaving them out of this convocatoria. Hopefully Pardo and Osorio don't become resentful and create more friction in the long run.
If they start getting left out of more games I think people will start demanding their appearances so there will be no other choice but to call them up.

I wouldn't be surprised if mexico gets even further than any of their prodecesors ever did. even recently, we are the third best team in the Americas (yes, north and south 'cuz the U.S couldn't even represent their trophy showing the poor skill level concacaf has, save for Mexico). and even at club level... no one wants to play against the mexicans... I think Hugo is a good coach and I love how we are playing, he will defenetly call upon Geo.... nough said...... ARRIVA MEXICO!!!!!!!

By "dwarf fish" do you mean Dwarf Gourami or Dwarf Puffer? Actually, it doesn't really matter because I wouldn't suggest putting it with either. Tricolor Sharks (AKA Bala Sharks) are VERY active schooling fish that attain an impressive size (more than a foot as adults). Dwarf Gouramis and Dwarf Puffers are both very placid fish, and the constant darting and nipping from a group of MUCH larger fish will be VERY stressful. I would no recommend it at all.

ISO Bassett hound... (triColor)?
I want a buddy for my buddy, i dont care if he/she has papers, i just want a new pal to love, and take care of.... I find shelters and SPCAs but all of them have alot of red tape... ive been looking for months he/she is not for a gift, well maybe for myself... its not selfishness, i just want a new pal... Looked high, and low... i just want a good dog, not a show purebread champ ribbon winner i just want a dog... anyone know where to find one.... I have a house, yard, and lots of love....

I have a wonderful Bassett Hound. I love him very much. But He deserves to have someone that can take him for long walks. And let him sit by their side. I found him wondering the neighborhood. Found the owner, she didn't want him because he wouldn't stay in her fence. His name is Roscoe P Coletrain...after the dog on the Dukes of Hazard. He is approxamately three yrs old. Very laid back. Wonderful with old and young, including babies, all other animals. I just got him out of the vet yesterday after 10 days of quarintine. Because my Austrailian Shepherd got out of his electric fence and atempted to kill Roscoe. I am dissabled, I woke to alot of noice. Got outside as quickly as possible to try and break the two up. Roscoe was on a cable on my front porch. He was sleeping and didn't know what hit him. I got in-between the two and got bit on my leg, finger, and foot. But not out of human agression on either dogs. Just fighting for territory on the Austrailians part. Roscoe just happened to be in the path. Both dogs had their shots but the laws in NC. require them to be kenneled for 10 days because I had to go to the hospital because of health issues and the bite was pretty deep.Roscoe did put up a good fight!!! My other dog had to have antibiotics. I love them both but Roscoe is Special! He has been trained to walk with you, He loves to jog also, Sit, Stay, heel, and love ya to death.He will try to shake your hand with his BIG SHORT FEET, and he does do a good job of it. He only barks at sirens or to go to the bathroom. He prefers a fire-hydrant to the yard. He will not be contained away from people. He is a front porch sittin kind of guy. I don't want to give him up but if you can show some sort of info on your vet care and surrounding. I may consider you. He has gotten a cough from being at the vets. So off he goes again this morning. I have stayed up with him all night. I have pictures of him if you are interested. He still like to chew on thing that he know belong to those he loves. And he is a good eater. But Wonderful!!! I haven't had the fund to have him neutered. But I am trying to get some assistance on that. He is Black and white, very long,short and muscle bound. May have some lab in him but mostly bassett.. Long bassett ears. With the turned out feet. He would truly be one loyal companion for anyone that really love Bassetts. He is the only dog on the mail route that the mail man loves. If your interested post you info. Where are you located? Roscoe may not be a trophy winner but he is deffinately a treasure!

Reply:Have you tried looking at a Bassett Hound Rescue website.I know they have them for other dogs.And most are obtainable for a small fee.I have two dachshunds and they came from a rescue agency my son found on the net.Good Luck finding your new pal.
Reply:Watch the newspapers, they usually have adds for free puppies to a good home. Or try going to stores, a lot of people will give their puppies away at the entrances of stores.

okay so.. a while back i dyed my hair black and put about 3 blonde streaks in it.
so now... it looks horrible. ive got my natural color coming at the roots... about to where my eyes are..
ive got my other natural color... the one that i have acquired from all the dying and whatnot... ive got the leftover brown.. which is the faded black... and ive got the blonde.
i was wondering how WITHOUT GOING TO A SALON... can i make it all ONE color. atleast the dark brown and the roots. i can keep the little blonde streaks different.

go 2 sally beauty supply and pick out the color you want and buy a 30 volume developer (usually use 20) but the 30 will lighten the hair some before it deposits the color.
but before you do this ask them about the protein fillers. You use this before you color your hair, this will help equalize your hair shafts. (its like a deep conditioner, you put it on your hair for bout 20min, then blow dry it, then color (has directions on it))

The tricolor LED's in question are custom common anode LED's from Proton LED in Lyons GA. I heard that because of heat, the total package current had to be less than the sum of the cathodes.

The adopter, we know, had no idea this may not have been an owner turn-in dog. We have no way at present to reach him/her. We hope the adopter will be able to put themselves in the owner's shoes and communicate with us

Be happy these dogs are alive and well. I wish I had a solution for you. The 'rescue' lunatics are unlikely to help you, they know what a mess they made of it and probably hope you will go away.

Try getting the word out to newspapers, and other shelters... you'd be surprised at who answers to a call for help with animals. long story short, I knew someone who had a dog get hit and not killed by a car, the dog bit him, the humane society didn't want to euthanize, but save the dog for testing, when it was obvious that the dog was in pain, and the OWNER wanted to put the dog out of its misery. I e-mailed another humane society, and got the word out, and there were somany calls made to the non-responsive humane society that the owners wishes were fulfilled...... GET THE WORD OUT... and yahoo answers is not enough.... go to other sites!

Viola Tricolor...?
Well... I bought a packet of viola tricolor seeds and the shop keeper only told me not to bury them under the compost but just throw them on top! Is this true? Will it grow? Are there other things I should know about watering it and about transplanting?

These are very easy to grow. I usually just rake them into the soil. Here is some specific information I found.

Viola Tricolor...?
These are very easy to grow. I usually just rake them into the soil. Here is some specific information I found.

Tricolor flags: what do they mean?
Lots of countries have tricolor flags. Presumably all the colours mean something. Does anybody know what they all are? Where the same colour appears in two different flags, does it tend to mean the same thing?

it simply means green (being the Irish) and the orange (being the English or protestant orangemen) and the white meaning peace and that means that the flag was built to mean peace between the English and Irish... but the English continued the pillage rape and steal all our spuds and cause 2million people to leave their homeland for food and a better life due to a famine..

TriColor and Blue Merle Rough Collie Mix?
I am getting a Puppy in July, Father is TriColor and Mother is Blue Merle, the Breeder has Championship dogs. The thing is I want a TriColor Rough Collie, if she is mixing the two breeds the chances of me of getting a Pure TriColor are slim right? This is my first time, are there chances of getting a Pure TriColor in the Puppy Litter without the Blue Merle markings??

Sound's like she knows what she is doing. Two merle dogs should never be bred together. The merle gene is considered "semi-lethal" and will cause deafness, and sometimes blindness. The spots on a Dalmation are a type of merle, which is why so many are deaf. There should be several tri-colors in this litter, which will not "show" the merle color. They may carry the recessive merle gene, but the only way you would know that is to breed the dog, and see if you have merle pups.(I don't recomend this) There are many breeds that almost require a genetics degree to breed correctly, and collies are one! Danes and Aussies are also difficult. Chinese Crested need a knowledgable breeder, too. It sounds like this woman has done her homework, you can ask her why she is doing it this way, and she will probably tell you, she may, in fact, give you too much info!
